Hen night t-shirts are a classic for many hen parties. You can have loads of fun coming up with ideas if you’ve been given the task of organising the clothing but with so many options out there for buying or making your own hen party t-shirts you may very well be asking yourself “Where do I start?”
T-Shirts or Vest Tops?
Whether you want to have your t-shirts printed or go to the trouble of making your own you should probably start by deciding what type of top you want your hen party to wear. Obviously you can choose from any item of everyday clothing but the two most popular choices are t-shirts or vest tops.
These are the choices you will usually be given when you go to a printer or order online, but if you’re making your own there are other options. Ordinary shirts could work well for a formal or gangster style theme. Sports tops for a 90’s spice girl theme or perhaps a plain halter neck dress for a more classy ’sex and the city’ look.

Don’t forget to consider your guests before you order and find out peoples sizes.
Colour
Are you going to all wear the same colour? Bright coloured t-shirts will help you stand out from the crowd. Plain one colour t-shirts will be cheaper but maybe a two colour shirt would fit better with your hen party theme, remember, chances are you’re only going to wear them once.
Think about the theme of your hen night that you’ve chosen, what would be most suitable.

Make your own hen t-shirts
Making your own hen night t-shirts can be a little time consuming but loads of fun, especially if you plan to do it as a group. Fabric paints are readily available at arts and craft shops and iron-on printer paper can be bought from any good stationary shop. You can paint on your designs or create a stencil. For best results with a stencil use a roller and remember to put a piece of cardboard or something else to separate the front and back of your t-shirt.

Why not include a picture in your design? Perhaps a picture of the groom or both the bride and groom you could always put something funny underneath too. If you’re a ‘wizz’ on Photoshop you could easily put together a nice picture of all the party guests, that way you’ll have no trouble remembering who was there the day after
