Bachelorette Party Snacks Ideas

Posted by LauraWade - 1 Comment

So you’ve decided on a location for your party and a theme for the night, so now you should start to think about some snack ideas for your bachelorette party.

This really depends on how much time you have on your hands, money you’re willing to spend and the theme of your party – some people prefer to buy the food in and there are quite a few supermarkets out there now who can cater for your party and your budget. If you have hired a venue, chances are, they will also be willing to put on a bit of a buffet or arrange some snacks for you within the budget or for a small additional fee, if you want to do it yourself though, here are some handy ideas to get you started!

Cupcakes, tea parties and sweets
Who doesn’t love cake? If you’re a dab hand at baking these are a beautiful, colourful and tasty part of any snack menu. They are somewhat in vogue at the moment and there are shops all over the country specialising in baking them if you don’t feel up to making them yourself. You can even get them personalised to make them extra special!
Tea parties are a great theme if you want to do something sophisticated whilst keeping things uncomplicated – make some traditional sandwiches, either make or buy in some pastries (sweet and savoury), Quiche and Scones and you will have a simple, tasteful and – more importantly – tasty menu on your hands!

Taste of the Med & Pizza Parties
If you want to do something a bit less traditional, a Mediteranian menu is also a fantastic way to provide your guests with simple, tasty food. Pita pockets with goats cheese and sundried tomatoes, Hummus, flatbreads and falafel are fantastic for vegetarians and you can pick up some great fish dishes too – deep fried calamari, shrimp and king prawns make for some beautiful tapas – how far you go is up to you, but you definitely have room to use your imagination on this one!

Pizza too is a classic for any menu. Whether you choose to make them or order them in, they are almost guaranteed to be gobbled up by all.
Obviously, when it comes to food there are thousands of things you can do ranging from the more traditional sausage on stick kind of thing to the more adventurous. But always be aware of your venue and the practicalities surrounding it. Finger food at parties is always more practical, and try and steer clear of anything too messy especially if you won’t be sitting down at a proper table to eat it – nobody wants to stain their gorgeous party dress!

5 Good Hen Night Ideas

Looking for good hen night ideas? Here’s our list of five of my favourite hen party ideas I’ve compiled recently.

1. Horse Riding

If you and your friends are the outdoor types why not organise a day of horse riding lessons for you and your group? Spend the day relaxing and learning to ride with various activities.

You could either take a picnic along to enjoy or you’ll find many places offer a meal as part of the costs, make sure to check how many people they can accommodate.

2. Pole Dancing Lessons

A hen party activity that’s gaining in popularity, with good reason too! It’s fun, energetic and slightly naughty too. Lessons are fairly short lasting a couple of hours so can be easily tied in with other plans. Giving you plenty of opportunity to put your new moves into practice straight away!

3. Cheerleading Lessons

If pole dancing is not your style, cheer leading might be just up your street. Perfect for hen parties or other girly celebrations it’s great team building and can help break the ice before you go out.

4. Barbeques

If it’s summer time and the weather is on your side a barbecue can be a great place to start your hen party. It’s relatively inexpensive and can easily be fitted into other plans. There’s plenty of great vegetarian options for barbeques too so there’s no need to worry about those of us who don’t eat meat.

5. Hen Party Spa Day

The ultimate in relaxation. Pamper yourselves silly before embarking on a stressful evening of fun and excitement. Slightly more pricey than some of the other suggestions, contact a few spa’s first to find the best deals and ask about group discounts.

Whatever you decide to do you can find a great selection of hen party gifts and accessories at hen night hq. Hope you all have a great day! ~ Michelle

Hen Party Dares

Posted by Hen Night T-Shirts - Comments Off

Hen party dares don’t have to be all about drinking. If you’re downing three shots in a row every time as a forfeit the night could end up being pretty short. Dares should be safe to do but they should still push the player out of their comfort zone and hopefully be pretty funny to watch too :)

Come up with a list of ideas before you head out, that way you don’t have to stop to think about it later, it’ll be well worth the time I promise. Think about what people in the group will be comfortable doing but try not to make it too boring for those who’re a little more adventurous.

Select the dares at random not by committee, this takes time and people are more likely to refuse, picking them out of a hat keeps it fair.

Keep it safe! Don’t attempt anything that could cause injury to the player or others around them.

Keep it simple! The last thing you want is to do is try explaining a dare to your slightly-worse-for-wear group of friends later on in the evening.

Some typical dares for a hen night include:

  1. Get five guys to give you their numbers
  2. Get someone to order a Blowjob for you at the bar
  3. Dance really badly next to someone for a whole song
  4. Remove an item of underwear without going to the bathroom
  5. Order a round of drinks in a foreign accent  (without laughing)
