Everyone likes gifts, so how about letting your party know how much you appreciate them by making up some hen night party bags?

You can get some gorgeous bags online now, some already made-up or you could get imaginative and make your own, customising it to match your theme.

For a sophisticated hen party, get some beautiful bags either online or from your high street and fill them with goodies like spa treatments; hair and face masks, lips sticks and other makeup items so that your guests all show up at your wedding feeling refreshed and alluring. Obviously, this can end up being quite expensive, so if you are on a tight budget you should be careful not to overspend!

If that doesn't sound right for you, you might want to fill bags with items that can be used on the night out itself. Head bands, sashes, tiaras and other fancy dress pieces are always popular, as are novelty items like cock straws and chocolates.

Confetti is always a good choice as if it isn't used on the night, you can take it to the wedding to throw over the newly-weds, as are cameras as you will be providing everyone to capture both the hen night and wedding and be left with memories that will last for years to come.

Do you want to do something different for your hen party? One creative bachelorette party idea is to have a kid's theme with a bit of a twist. First, get some invitations - you can pick these up from most high streets and they're relatively inexpensive. Send them out to all your friends and let them know your theme. Encourage them to dress up as a character from their childhood - perhaps someone from their favourite cartoon or TV show. When booking your venue you should consider size requirements. Indoor bouncy castles are immense fun but can take up quite a lot of room so if you're looking to go all out with this one, make sure that the venue is OK with it first. For snacks, things like party rings and space invaders are always a good idea but if you want to do something a bit more sophisticated, consider a chocolate fountain complete with fruit and marshmallows. No children's party would be complete without jelly and ice cream, and alcohol jellies would be perfect for your hen night. Usually alcohol jelly shots are made with vodka, but you could also try rum and pineapple or champagne jelly if you want to do something a bit special! When it comes to games, musical statues, twister and musical chairs are all great games to play - you'll be surprised how competitive you all still are! Make up a pass the parcel and fill the layers with dares and forfeits - how far you want to go is up to you! Inside you can also put a mix of things from both the past and present so, in one layer you can have a novelty toy like you got as a youth and in another something a little bit more adult. This is the perfect opportunity to get dressed up, be creative and nostalgic and have some good old-fashioned fun!

Hen Party Drinks Ideas (Non-Alcoholic)

Let's face it, not everybody wants to go out and get totally obliterated on their hen nights, especially if it is close to the wedding itself. What bride wants to show up at the alter with bleary eyes and stinking of gin?!
Luckily there are some beautiful, non-alcoholic cocktails you can try for something a little bit different without risking a hangover.
Virgin Mary
Almost as classic as its alcoholic counterpart, a Virgin Mary consists of tomato juice with a dash lemon or lime juice, tobasco and a dash of Worcestershire sauce. Season with pepper and garnish with a stick of celery. This is also a great boost of Vitamin C the next day if you do end up with that hangover!
Shirley Temple
Over ice, pour a small bottle of ginger ale and add a couple of teaspoons of grenadine then garnish with an orange slice and cherry.
Sunset
Take a couple of tablespoons of lime juice and top with fresh orange. Top with a dash of grenadine and garnish with a slice of orange
Sex on the Beach (Non-alcoholic)
A classic cocktail in its traditional form, a Sex on the Beach is still tasty by replacing the peach schnapps with peach cordial, and top with orange and cranberry juice.

Pina Colada (Non-alcoholic version)

A Pina Colada is a massive favourite amongst drinkers, but you can make it non-alcoholic by filling a glass ¾ full with pineapple juice and topping with coconut cream. Garnish with a wedge of pineapple.

Hen Party Games – Mr & Mrs

Mr & Mrs is a classic game and one that's been around for decades. Popularised by the TV show in the 1960's, Mr & Mrs makes for a great hen party game! Before the night, ask the husband to be a set of about 20 questions - try and vary them as much as possible and try and sneak in a couple of naughty ones too ;) On the night, when everyone is gathered around, ask each member of the party to guess how many questions they think the hen will get right and get them to place their bets, everyone puts in a couple of pounds and the winner can keep up to half the pot (the rest should go towards buying the group's drinks for the rest of the evening) You can vary this game quite a bit too, make her do a forfeit or take a shot for every question she gets wrong or spread the questions out throughout the course of the evening for those moments things might settle down a little too much. Here's some example questions to get you started:
  1. How old was he when he lost her virginity/had his first kiss?
  2. How did he chat her up when they first met?
  3. What is his most annoying habit?
  4. If you're going out on the town will your wife be more likely to:
    1. Stay in by herself and watch the soaps
    2. Go out drinking with her girlfriends
    3. Go to her mum's.
  5. What, according to him, is your most annoying habit?
Obviously, you can pick your questions depending on your audience and the kind of things you want to find out. This can be as rude or as civil as you like, so go nuts, and have fun!

Wild Bachelorette Party Ideas

It's your last night of freedom, the venue's been booked and you're looking ahead to your new life of matrimony, so what better excuse to go all out throw a wild bachelorette party? Gather all your friends together and decide on a theme. Either get some t-shirts printed up that represent your group or decide on fancy dress; French maid outfits are always popular, devil horns, handcuffs, tiarras, garters and sashes will all help to complete the look. You can get most of these items on the high street now, but there are also a tonne of places specialising in party wear online. This may well end up being cheaper, especially if you end up buying in bulk. You'll also want to stock up on accessories while you're at it; there are loads of places you can buy novelty items such as dick shaped straws and confectionary to get you all giggling. The best way to start your wild hen night is with some drinking games, you might have some ideas of your own, but 'I Have Never' is a good one to start with as you don't need anything but your own stories and imagination! The more you drink, the filthier the stories! Truth or Dare is also a really great way to get everyone going, especially those members of the group that are a little more shy. For more wild times, why not indulge the group by hiring a stripper or taking everyone for pole dancing lessons followed by a night on the tiles - you never know, you might even get the opportunity to show off some of your new skills! One word of warning though, if you're planning on getting totally out of control and giving your bride a proper send off you might want to head out of town to avoid embarassment, and definitely leave the mother-in-law at home! Also, make sure you take your camera to catch the action and most importantly stick together and stay safe!

Hen Night Slumber Party

You remember it well, the first time your parents let you stay at your friend's house for the night - that first time you really feel like you experience independence. So why not recreate it for your last by having a slumber party?!
There's loads of scope to what you want at your slumber party but you should ply your room with quilts, mattresses and cushions to make everything comfortable, and invite around all your friends - make sure they all come in their pyjamas!
With slumber parties, anything goes really, but you might want to get in some films that remind you of sleepovers you had when you were a kid. These can be anything, dependant on your audience, but definitely ones that will spark memories! The same goes with music, if you don't still have them, try and get your hands on some of the CDs you used to listen to as a teenager, or use the vast number of internet resources at your disposal to build playlists that will get you all singing and dancing - the same goes for karaoke, another, classic slumber party activity and one that provides guaranteed laughs.
When it comes to games, truth or dare is an obvious choice to play to keep you all occupied, so make sure there's plenty of wine flowing to get everyone talking. You can also make sure you have some pen and paper ready to make up ad libs and silly stories.
It's always fun too, to get in some face masks and give yourself a bit of pampering. You can also give each other makeovers and make the bride look (even more) beautiful ahead of her big day.
If you want to do something a little bit more adult you could throw an Ann Summers party or something similar. These are easy to arrange and heaps of fun, you might even be able to buy the bride a couple of naughty gifts to get her honeymoon going ;)

Fancy going somewhere a bit special for your hen party? Then there are tonnes of great hen party locations all over Britain you might want to think about, here's my top 3: London An obvious choice really, but with over 14 million visitors a year, the capital is one of the most visited cities in the world, never mind Britain! It's not surprising either, with over 6000 restaurants, and shopping areas varying from the quaint Covent garden to the edgy Camden and the luxuriousness of the likes of Harrods and Selfridges, there is something for every taste. Whether it's partying you have in mind, or whether you just want to go and soak up the culture, you have one of the world's most vibrant cities at your disposal - take in a West End Show or dance all night  at one of its world renowned night clubs. However, hotels can be quite pricey, so make sure you book early! Manchester Known by some as the London of the North, Manchester's reputation as one of the most vibrant cities in the UK is growing by the year. With shopping malls like the Arndale and Trafford Centre and Afflecks in the Northern Quarter there are plenty of places to spend some of that hard earned cash! For something different why not head to the Grey Hound racing at Belle Vue race track? Or, if real Ale's more your thing, there are numerous 'pub staggers' to be found which offer a fantastic craft beer experience. If that's not enough for you, venues like Mohos and The Academies have bands on frequently and if that's not your scene, the Printworks complex has a whole host of trendy bars for you to let your hair down in. Brighton Brighton too is a popular tourist destination, it's laid back atmosphere and its array of beautiful, independently owned shops and cafes make it seem at once quaint and bustling. Hen Party Drinks Ideas

If you're planning on having your hen party at home, why not think about having a cocktail night? You can buy cocktail making kits relatively cheaply now, and will be a great way to get those hen night drinks flowing.
I've put together a list of four of my favourite, girly cocktails:
1. Sex on the Beach
A classic of the cocktail world and something every woman should have before she embarks on marital life! It's simple too; just take 1 shot of Vodka and a shot of Peach Schnapps and top up with Orange and Cranberry juice in a high ball glass. Or, if you're not a fan of oranges, you can make a Woo Woo simply by taking out the orange and just topping up with cranberry. Easy!
2. Blowjob
Everyone loves a good blowjob right? This is a short one so shot glasses at the ready! Take one part Vodka, One part Bailey's (or similar Irish Cream), 1 part Kahlua and and top with whipped cream. Tastes a treat and goes down easy ;)
3. Cosmopolitan
Popularised by Sex and the City, the Cosmopolitan has become a firm favourite amongst cocktail bars. Simply take One shot of Vodka, 1/2 a shot of Triple Sec or similar orange liquer and then top up half and half with lime and cranberry juice then serve in a martini glass
4. Sangria
For a longer drink, why not make up a jug of Spanish favourite Sangria? It just smacks of holiday memories and is delicious to boot. The recipes for Sangria vary and you can buy it ready made but this is my personal favourite. Take a bottle of good red wine (whichever you prefer really) and put it in a large jug or pitcher then squeeze in the juice of one lemon and one orange, being careful not to leave in any of the seeds. Add a shot of decent brandy and then top with lemonade and fresh fruit before serving over loads of ice.

So grab some friends, get out there and have an adventure whilst taking in the breathtaking scenery.

Hen Party Drinking Games

Pub golf has seen a massive rise in popularity over the last few years, and is perfect hen night game as it requires only a little preparation! There are a few variations on these rules, and it’s not exact science, but here are some basic guidelines: You will need to plan a route and schedule in advance, as every pub or venue counts as a 'hole' and you don't want to end up spending too much time in one of them. You will need either 9 or 18 of these depending on your stamina and the number of pubs and clubs in your chosen area. Each of these holes is then given a specified drink - your par is dependent on how many gulps (strokes) it takes you to finish this drink (this can be modified depending on how many strokes YOU think this should be drank in e.g a shot would be one). You will also need to print up a score card. The target, like with real golf, is to end your game on the fewest number of strokes i.e. to drink in as few sips/gulps as possible. Example Drinks/Par scores Shot - 1 Spirit & mixer - 2 Half a Cider - 3 Half a Lager - 4 Half a Guiness – 5 Terms/Scoring Bogey - +1 stroke (i.e half of lager in 5 gulps) Par - 0 (i.e half of lager in 4 gulps) Birdie - -1 Eagle - 2 Penalties should be awarded to make things more interesting, so, if you spill your drink for example, you should add +1 stroke to your score card. The more severe the 'crime' the more severe the penalty! To make things more interesting you can introduce some forfeits and other rules, so for example, if someone spills another player's drink then they have to get the next round in or at hole number 5 each person has to ask a guy for his number. Use your imagination, and most of all, have fun with it!
