Groups of hens all over the world now want to mark the sense of occasion by making or printing their own t-shirts. But how do you get cheap hen party t-shirts?
If you’re feeling crafty, go to your local discount clothes store and buy a load of cheap, plain t-shirts – enough for your whole group and maybe a couple of spare, just so any impromptu guests don’t end up being left out. White probably works best, although you’re definitely not limited to this! You can get plain t-shirts for anything from £1 if you look in the right places; if you can’t find them in any high street shops try your supermarket or even your local market. Next, you need something to print on them with. Screen printing can be a costly business, but there are ways of doing at home using your own printer and some iron on transfers. Simply pick your design and follow the instructions you get with the transfer product you choose.
If you’re feeling really creative, you could also draw on your design. The beauty of this is that each member of the group can design their own shirt to suit them, just get yourself some fabric pens and get drawing – it may not look as neat as something you would print or get done professionally but can be a whole lot more fun. You could even take the pens out with you on the town, getting people to write messages and keeping records of the places you’ve been and shots you’ve drank meaning that at the end of the night you will end up with a cracking keepsake and record of what you’ve been up to, even if your own memory fails, which – let’s face it – happens from time to time!
